Retina reimagines photo sharing, shifting from likes to intimate circles and personal expression. With manual tools and a companion camera, it reconnects tactile photography with digital reflection, inviting slower, more intentional creation. This project involves digital platform development, branding components, and visual work done by Leela Aji.
This mobile tool pairs with a physical camera. Collaborated with industrial designer, Lily Neville, who redesigned a digital camera to better fit the needs of modern day users.
Digital Platform
The Retina app serves as a space for controling camera settings during image capture and as a drive to view, sort, and share captured photos.
Brand Identity
Designed all branding elements independently. Created a logo and tone to reflect the young and alternative message of the platform.
The Challenge
Current social and photo-sharing platforms miss the mark on genuine intimacy and creative connection.
Research Methods
Storyboarding
+ UX Mapping
